My undergrad was psychology. I went on to get an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from NYU. Then I built a career in software engineering. That combination is not a detour. It is the reason I can talk to clinical teams about their data problems and actually understand what they need.
Nineteen years in, I have worked across the full healthcare technology stack. EHR integrations. Claims data pipelines. Risk adjustment analytics. Salesforce Health Cloud implementations. AI systems for patient outreach. Compliance platforms. BI dashboards that clinical operations actually trust.
I co-authored a peer-reviewed COVID-19 epidemiology study published in Annals of Epidemiology. The research side gave me a rigorous approach to data. The engineering side gave me the tools to build systems at scale. Both matter in healthcare, where a bad metric is not a typo. It is a compliance finding or a patient safety issue.
